If you know me, you know I love playing cards. As a magician, I have always believed that a deck of cards carries its own narrative. It is not just about the magic it performs, but the ink, the paper, and the hands that crafted it.
For years, I used Portfolio52 to keep track of my personal collection. It was a fantastic resource right up until it shut down. Losing access to a platform you rely on is a tough lesson. It made me realize that depending on a third party tool means your collection data could vanish at any moment for no reason at all. I knew I needed to take control and build something permanent.

A Personal Digital Cardboard Wunderkammer
Think of this new page as my personal digital cardboard wunderkammer. It is an online showcase to celebrate distinctive editions, their intricate artwork, and the people who brought them to life.
Bringing the library in house means I can eventually offer a truly unique experience. My ultimate goal is to heavily enrich the playing card details rather than just listing the bare basics you find elsewhere.
Built With the Community
Right now, the library is in its early stages. It features my core collection with data brought over from PlayingCardHub. A collection is rarely built in isolation, and this archive is no exception. When Portfolio52 became unavailable, PlayingCardHub stepped forward and really saved the day. Their platform and import/export tools helped me rescue my data and made the foundation of this digital cabinet possible.
The aesthetic and structure of this new space also owe a great deal to fellow collectors. The beautiful curation at DeckCollect, PlayingCardHub, and the personal archive of Timmargh heavily inspired the format and layout. Their dedication to the craft showed me exactly what a digital showcase could be.
Respecting the Art Naturally, all the incredible tuck box artwork, designs, and supplied deck photography remain the work of their respective creators, publishers, and rights holders. Every edition page links back to the catalog sources and credits the designers wherever those details are known, because respecting the art is a top priority.
