On a lighter note, I think it's hilarious that in the editing of this trailer every time Tony Chang changes the card they added a "swoosh" noise.

that seems like a very simple change. is it not the exact same as the basic color change, just with a different sort of wave over the cards?

EDIT: scratch that. it uses the same technique as the basic color change except it allows both hands to be shown empty before the change occurs. Unless i'm missing the mark because he chose not to do that in the video.

I think it is not the same technique, since he said that the vanish uses the same principle as the be kind change, and I think it cannot be achieved by the methods of the basic color change. and it shows both hands empty. I'll share some viewpoints on this when I've purchased it.

The Be Kind Change is not performed like an Erdnase Color Change be any means. You have to know one move that is more advanced. And you have to do a variation of that move. Plus a variation on another palm type move.

Tony Chang says it at the beginning of the trailer, this is a move for all the move monkeys. It is not a move I would do for every performance. As a matter of fact it accomplishes nothing more than an Erdnase color change does. You show your right hand empty and change the top card to something else.

Why do something harder to accomplish the same exact thing something easier can do with less movement?

Because its different. Thats what makes a move marketable. It could look different and still aquire the same outcome, but because its different magicians or "move monkeys" will buy it.

I'm not a move monkey. but not being able to show your hand empty gives it away. admit it. a palm then change could get you into trouble no matter how good you are at audience management,(unless you already made him shut up earlier)

but It's still a good change and also a good vanish. and I think it will also improve your sleight of hand skills.

EDIT: the VANISH even looks better than the change. just think about a card to pocket out of this. totally insane.

Don't waste your money on the dmb spread control, its a horribly poor version of the convincing control, which just happens to be a lot easier and a lot more convincing.

This most definitely looks like real magic when performed well. I saw Tony Chang do it numerous times at Magic-Con. LEGEND!
