Hi everyone,

We're currently looking for a few new people to add to our staff. If you are interested in this position, you may apply by filling in our moderator application form.

Please realize, moderating ExoMagic boards is a serious task. We're looking for people that are seriously interested in Magic, ExoMagic, and its board. We want mature, responsible, and professional moderators that are able to express themselves with patience, respect, and moderation. You have to be able to read and write in English effectively, although other language skills are a plus.

In general, you need to be at least 15 years of age to become a moderator, however, exceptions can be made on a case-by-case basis.

Prerequisites:

• Must have a minimum of 100 posts.
• Must be 15 years of age (exceptions made on a case-by-case basis).
• Must speak fluent English language.
• Broadband internet connection.
• Free time of roughly 2-3 hours per week.
• Must enjoy contributing back to the community! Is a MUST!

Duties Of A Moderator

• Starting new threads for members to participate in.
• Posting in existing threads to rekindle or grow conversation.
• Edit rule-breaking content out of posts.
• Delete posts that are spam or have no relation to the conversation.
• Maintain the forum and keeping it tidy.
• Working with the upper staff to hold activities and competitions in you range.
• Becoming involved in staff decisions and discussions.
• Checking links and posts to make sure things are coded and added properly.
• Enjoy being an a part of this community and have fun!

Situational Questions

The following is a series of situational questions that you are to answer to the best of your ability. A big part of the decision making process is determined based on your answers to the following questions.

Question #1

Two members have been at each other for a few days now. A simple argument has evolved into a constant flame war between these two individuals. A private message has already been sent by another moderator to try and resolve the problem but nothing has changed and these members continue to challenge each others posts. What would you do to address the situation further?

Question #2

A topic is starting to head off in a different direction from the subject. The new subject the thread is heading towards seems to be very popular and is gaining momentum but is heading further away from the topic. What would you do to solve the problem?
