Default Am/pm

Does anyone have a review for AM/PM by Alex Pandrea and Jonathan Price. I've been looking into it but haven't found too much info on it. The price is a bit high so any info is appreciated.

I'll try to give a review for AM/PM. The first time I watched it through I was not very impressed with it. I put it away for a while and then I viewed it again and found it very interesting. I guess what initially turned me off was their style which just isn't me. After getting over that, I found some really simple and good material that I could use.

There are 10 effects on the DVD using everyday items such as cards, matches, sugar packets, etc. My favorites are 'Local' and 'The Domino Effect'. In 'Local' and empty matchbox becomes full in the spectators hand. This is a very simple effect but it is truly powerful. At first I doubted that it would work. When I tried it out, I was surprised at the reaction. 'The Domino Effect' is a transposition of a pink sugar packet and a white sugar packet. This is a great one to do when you are out eating with friends. Again, it is very simple yet hard hitting.

You may feel that the price is a little high for this DVD but it is very well done. Each of the effects are shown in great detail. If you only use a couple of these effects, the DVD is well worth the cost.

The New York Magic Project has released some really excellent projects recently. They are willing to answer any questions you may have about their products. No, I am not affiliated with them in any way. I am just a very satisfied customer.

If you have any questions, please ask, either here or send me a PM.

Thanks for your response. Do any of these require elaborate steups or can most be done on the fly. Also, what would you say is the difficulty? Lately ive been looking for a few things to challenge me. Have you perfomed any of these effects?

It is kind of hard to put a difficulty level on these effects. If you have done any basic magic, then these effects would be easy to do. I would put these on the same level as Jay Sankey's effects done with everyday objects. Some do require a little prep work but it is easy to move them into a real world situation so it all appears impromtu.

I enjoy effects that are simple. They allow me to focus more on presentation. I do several of the effects regularly but mostly as filler or transitional material.

You may want to check back on the site to see if they are running any special offers. I tend to shop the online magic shops that way. I rarely buy magic products at full price unless it is something I really need right away. You may want to ask them questions directly. Express your interest in the product to them. Explain your concerns, and maybe they'll make you an offer you can't refuse.
