Default Bicycle Tragic Royalty Deck

I am not usually a fan of bicycle cards (Bee cards are the best ), but when a trusted magician told me about them i knew i had to have them.

These cards GLOW UNDER A BLACK LIGHT, and have different pictures for jacks-kings

Feel- A: These cards feel just the same as any other bicycle playing cards, air cushioned

Looks- A-: The picture cards look amazing, the pips on the number cards are seriously ugly. The backs of the cards are also very nice.

Durability- Whenever I purchase a new deck of cards, i tend to use and abuse them within the first 24 hours i have them. I riffle them, use loops on them, and just generally test them. NEVER HAVE I SEEN CARDS LESS DURABLE THAN THESE, I have a deck of Bee cards that have lasted 6 months under the same pressure.

Miscellaneous B+: With that being said, I am also a huge fan of loops and i incorperate them into every act. I also own a travel size blacklight. I did the ghost deck with the blacklight and these cards and i scared myself. The effect is that good.

Conclusion B: If you have a blacklight, and/or use loops and other "other-worldy " gimmicks, this deck is a must. For everyone else, this deck is useless.

I would have to agree with you 100% on this one. I have a couple of these decks myself. Yes, they look phenomenal, but they suck to do anything else other then an ACR.

These cards are way thicker then the normal bikes (due to the UV coat that they have on them). They are also course, which makes it really hard for flourishing and any type of XCM. Not to mention how horrid the pips on the numbered cards look.

On the positive side, they are great for at-night blacklight tricks. They also have a fantastic color scheme and back to them.

Just got one. All things said I will agree with. I love the backs, beautiful. Not the best card from a phyiscal standpoint though.

THIS is the colour scheme I think we need for our ExoMagic playing cards!

Great looking deck... Horrible for flourishing...
I'd get one just to add to my collection, but I prb. wouldn't go all out with this deck for flourishing.
Still, the deck does open up potential for more 'scary' tricks...

I actually just got 3 decks of these cards from WalMart. $3.93(cdn before tax). I love the way these cards look, but they fan like shit!! I probably just have to work them in a little, but bikes usually fan perfect right out of the box. Oh well. I like how all the red glows under the blacklight though. All the hearts & diamond pips glow. Looks sweet.

Yep, in a general sense, these cards look sweet but under perform. If you want performance, just about anything else will work better.

Yeah, and it's really too bad because I love the way they look. They're starting to fan a little better for me now that I've used them a bit more, but the edges of the cards are denting like when I learned how to faro, only I haven't faro'd them!! I get cheap plastic coated Bee rip off cards from the local dollar store that play way better. I've honestly never been so disappointed with a deck of Bikes. I actually read this thread long before I got them, but thought to myself "They're Bikes, they can't play that bad?" I've read several bad reviews on cards I think are great. I guess I am glad to have them in my collection for aesthetic purposes. They're the only cards I have with dark faces. I'm curious if fanning powder would help them out...

Not so sure if fanning powder would work. One of the biggest things that is probably creating the poor fanning ability is the extra coat of "blacklight' glowing material they have on it. If I recall they glowed in the dark and also lit up when black light was applied.

This may be the cause for the course finish and poor fanning.

You're probably right about the finish being the issue, but the package does say "Air Cushion Finish" on the side where it normally says it. To me the finish doesn't feel any different than regular bikes either, but the card stock feels thin to me(I'm gonna get out my caliper when I get home!!). They only glow under blacklite(not regular glow-in-the-dark), and only the red(on all cards) and white(on face cards) glows.

"TRAGIC" Royalty sums it up.

The cards also have a kind of weird smell to them.

These cards, even though they underperformed, draw awesome reactions from specs. They think these cards are awesome. Plain and simple. They love them. There is something about the dual color back, the grey theme, and the funny faces that specs love.
