This is my first review so please cut me some slack.
METHODS: 9/10 i found the methods very useful and unique. luke teaches how to make the effect seem magnificent even though the method is so simple that even a 14 year old could pull it off. Teaching: 8/10 Luke teaches the effect very thoroughly but i believe there are a few details he left out. the seven words he used cannot be applied in every venue in which you perform. adapting the effect is difficult for me because in a school setting some of the words are slightly inappropriate. i have found other words that can be used to make the effect work but this can complicate things slightly. Versatility: 9.5/10 the effect can be used in any venue with almost any audience. i have performed this effect at various restaurants (nearly resulting in me getting kicked out) the method can easily be changed around if you wish. i had to recreate the secret in order for me to use it in the venues i perform in Over all: 9/10 this trick gets amazing reactions if performed correctly and because of the simplicity of the method you can modify your performance for whatever style you want. if you are a mentalist or need an impromtu effect with very little set-up this is a must have. thanks for your time and i hope all of you have a very good day |

Hey redifinedmagic,
Good review and agree with the assessment. The principle is simple and outside of the wonderful information on handling and psychology if one has any history with mentalism you can pick out the principle before it's even discussed, partly why I think there's not much of the routine revealed in the trailers. But...that's not why I stopped by.... If you don't mind me asking, I'm curious what words you end up using in your venues. You don't need to go into an explanation of why or how you implement the words (if you don't want) but I am curious on your substitutes. Thanks, -MM |
