I've found David Blaine's riffle force app (Street magic: See a card by David Blaine) to be incredibly useful for magic. It's only two bucks, incredibly easy to use and it can force any card except for the ace of spades.
The virtual deck of cards is tapped with a finger and it riffles through the deck, showing every card. The spectator is asked to see and remember one of these cards. The i-phone/touch is then given a shake and their selected card appears. The only downside I've seen is that it is sometimes difficult for the spectators to choose a card for whatever reason. Even more rarely someone will select a card that is not the forced card. I would say that it has worked about 8/10 times I've used it. Overall rating 6/10. (It's only two bucks so if it is disappointing it shouldn't be the end of the world) |

Its a nice app for conversation magic. Just like the "Rising Card" App.
Both are just "fun" for magicians. -Jacob

I agree that it is generally better to use other forces, but I sometimes feel it's nice to mix things up a bit. I like to force a card, do a trick with the deck and then reveal their forced card to them again on the app.

Yes, I'm one of David Blaine Street Style lovers. I often use a riffle force to pull the audien into my magic effect. the shuffle was the safety one.
