The Effect:
A spectator freely names any card. You whip out your Iphone/Ipod Touch and click on an app named "RisingCard". You then hand the device to the spectator, they shake it, and they're card magically rises out of the deck. The Review: If you are an everyday Iphone/Ipod Touch user, this app will work wonderfully for you. The secret is simple yet very deceptive. Super easy to do after about 2 minutes of practice. The only downside: If you own a jailbroken Iphone/Ipod Touch, this may be difficult to perform on your friends. I'm not going to go into more detail, as that will be borderline exposure. ALSO, if you own an iPod Touch, it may be more difficult to do this effect. As long as you are careful, it shouldn't matter, but there is a posssibility that the inherent nature of the app will "give away" the effect. The Rating: 6/10 If you want a cool trick for the touch/iPhone, go for it. It will work amazingly. Minus two points for not being completely compatible with jailbroken items (But there's no surprise there), and a slight goof in the gui of the app. This effect is obviously marketed for the iPhone rather than the Touch. It's not a huge deal, but the least T11 could have done was make a different app for both types of gadgets. Minus two extra points for that, because it's a mistake that would have been easy to fix.

After further review (No pun intended), I have changed my review. See first post.

I decided to buy it for my iphone...
I agree with Brandon...its a fun app but not mindblowing. This has been done before but its pretty cool how its been put togeather. You do need the iPhone for this I agree. I disliked that I had to change my phone to make it even more believable. I wish that it was more adaptable...but not bad. -Jacob

I like the way you had to hide the post that said "not in a gay way" Seeker...as if you want the entire internets thinking you have some sort of special connection with Brandon
![]() Anyway, Brandon, would you rather this or pull out a loop and a deck for a Haunted Deck? Just wondering because I am considering getting this, but the lack of "real" magic and its gimmicky feel is just a little bit worrisome.

I will ignore the gay comment...I don't know what your talking about.
(Call me later Brandon.) Anyways... I don't think this is an amazingly awsome stand alone effect. If anything, I would play the whole effect off as, "I will use my mentalism to force a card onto you...see?" That way it covers them opening the program again and getting the same card on their own. I would use this as a conversation piece. "OH you do magic seeker?" "Yeah! I do..." "Do a Trick!!!" "No...I couldn't...I..." DO ONE NOW OR I WILL KILL YOU AND EAT YOUR SOUL!" "Okay...how about a trick with my phone and I will show you some better stuff later." It's a fun converstation piece. -Jacob

Haha, you two crack me up.
Looks like a very cool little piece of software to install on the Iphone. I bet you can trick some people, but I can't imagine too many people falling for it. They should have introduced it for free for everyone and just used it as a marketing ploy .... then again 3 bucks isn't too bad.Now all they need to do is make one for the Blackberry

What is magic coming to? Being a computer programmer these things don't really excite me much.
Now an app to make it appear on their iPhone may be nice. The only problem is it would probably be seen as virus or malicious piece of software.

I hear what you're saying, this is a rather stupid effect (To put it bluntly) if you try to make it seem magical all on your own. I would think that this should only be used in addition to the actual "Schwing" effect. Do it on your iPhone, then turn around and say "Now would you like to see it really happen" kind of thing.

Like I said....its a converstational piece. People will enjoy it as a gag effect.
I have thought of a few ideas though of making the card "teleport" to their hand...from my real deck. "I only have one deck" is the justification. -Jacob

this trick is not good I think.
If you have iphone, ther are many magic tricks out there, many of them is stupid tricks. you can jailbreak the iphone, and download as much as you want (jailbreak is not illigal but downloading it is illegal, Im not suggesting you you own decision) for me the good one is iwallet. its beautiful trick |

Yeah, they do. In fact, for the T11 one, you actually say, "Check out this app I have".
However, I've never told them what the app is called, and they've never asked. And I figure that if they do find it, see that it's three dollars, and choose to buy it, they will at least use it as an effect, rather than just revealing the secret. The fact that they paid for it would make it more valuable to them. Even if they do reveal it... well, it's not that great of a trick, so just blow their minds with a different, "real" one.
