Review of ITR 2000 by Sorcery Mfg.
I just received my new ITR 2000 by Sorcery Mfg. I have several ITRs and have been very disappointed with them. I have micros, minis and regular size ones. Most of them are made in India and were pretty inexpensive. I thought I would try one of the ITRs by Sorcery Mfg. I'm glad I did. The quality is far superior to that of the Indian copies. They might look very similar but they are not. On the ITR 2000 mini I can get at least 9 foot away from my anchor point and still feel that I could go farther. The reel rolls the thread in and out very smoothly. Almost as smooth as my Spider pen. I am able to suspend a dollar bill and step back and it hardly even moves. The thread is slightly larger than that of the Spider pen but seems just as invisible and much stronger.
The construction of the ITR is molded and consists of two halves that snap together and 2 o-rings to slip over to keeps the halves in place. The Indian ITRs are tubes that are cut to size with notches and holes cut in them. The instructions that came with the ITR are very clear and detailed.
I would recommend that if you do a lot of work with ITRs that you try the Sorcery Mfg. line. You will notice the difference right away.
