Default Fooler doolers- daryl

I totally underestimated this dvd upload. I judged- and thought it was totally cheesy. I never gave it a chance.

After practicing tonight, I thought, you know... I should really learn to do cups and balls properly.. and not just the basic routine. I never knew the basic loads. I also never took the time to learn spongeballs. It was kind of intimidating.

Exo pointed out that there was some pointers on the classics on fooler doolers- so i gave it a shot.

Man, what a great clip! I really loved it. The tricks deal with small objects- true close up nature- my bread and butter. It wasnt cheesy at all. I not only liked the overall tricks, but the sleights taught- that are very useful. I really loved the travelling marbles, The spongeball routine, and the cups and balls.

The three tricks mentioned above have daryl showing how to do a great, and easy to do false transfers. He also tells you how to routine, with great lines for you to try. The spongeball tricks only uses two sponges- and its still better than the four ball routines Ive seen everywhere. he makes the spongeball illusion manageable!

The cups and balls deals with only one cup- I had no idea that was even possible. This is a great starting point for me. He took a basic cup- and made an entire routine out of it, with several loads/techniques.

thanks for the upload- and i hope everyone gives this a try!

I never really had time to go thru all of Daryl's encyclopedia of card sleights video, but seen all the fooler dooler volumes and have to say they are one of my favourite. These days you see lots of magic dvds release are on card tricks, so watching fooler dooler mix collection of magic was wonderful !!! That's what you should learn.. something different, since these days everyboday wanna do cardtricks!

I have all 3 of this series, plus other Daryl stuff. The thing about him is that he has a naturally likeable personality and he really is a great teacher - everything is explained in detail, he doesn't rush through and, importantly, no filler, no trendy-scruffy locations, no distracting music. Great stuff to learn and learn from his style and approach to audiences (he is never rude or offensive).

I have also all 3 of this series and I find them really good!I love his presentations! For example the way he does the "Chinese mystery" , a known classic. He speaks really like the Chinese’s we see in the movies and I have a lot of laugh! For me this is the kind of magic I like: Not the " look at me, I am clever than you" but the "we have a wonderful time together"!
