Let me first say that this is a great trick, and my review should in no way stop you from enjoying this amazing display of card magic. That being said, it was not as good as I hoped. Seeing as I did not buy the trick myself (my friend got it as a present) I cannot complain. This is more of just a guide to anyone interested in the trick.
The effect is spectacular, a real mind boggling one, and it is nice as it appears to be a totally unplanned trick. Unfortunately, although the spectators don't figure it out too often, it does not supply any new sleights that work well with other tricks. If you were to think this trick through without knowing the secret, you could probably figure it out. I also do not particularly like marked cards, which this effect uses two of. The handling is fairly straight forward, and does not take too long to master, but it will take a bit of work to be confident in your performance. All in all, an amazing trick, though a little too much set up for me. It requires it's own deck, which is worth it for the effect, but still, I would not perform this trick nearly as much as say, Biddle Trick or another amazing impromptu wonder.

i agree in about everything you said, in my opinion the spectator knows that something fishy is going on, also for people who don't know how it works, you need some misdirection which is hard because people always are looking at my hands in school, don't do this in school (me personally) all in all it's a decent effect

I still haven't quite got the hang of the false riffle shuffle yet, so I'm not going to do this trick on anyone just yet. Overall watched the video, doesn't seem to be as complicated to do...and misdirection is fairly easy..

I beleive that this is a great trick. I too, use my own deck for this and its a set-back. And I have to say, that my favorit impromptu trick is either Biddle Trick or the ACR.

I was taught this in a lecture by Oz Pearlman in the UK, but for some reason, he seems to have changed the handling the video (I think!... Or at least, as I remember). Perhaps he has a diff. handling for when he's doing it for magicians... But hey... He fooled us! XD
It's a great effect and a brilliant play on the usual 'Do As I Do' routine. J |

i agree with the part bout people keeping their eyes fixed on your hands especially those who are always so eager to try and expose you so audience choice may be another factor which limits the effectiveness of this trick

Guys, I picked this up awhile ago. I have to say that I just don't think the method is very strong at all. I love the plot: having a spectator shuffle half of the deck and then showing that the other half matches is a great trick, but the method involved here needs some work.
I worked on this plot for a few years and came up with what I think is a very good solution. The routine is called "26!" and it is explained in my book High Spots. It's also received a lot of positive comments from many top name magicians. I don't want this to sound like an advertisment, but there are much better versions than what Mr. Pearlman is offering. Those who are interested should also check out "Total Coincidence" from Juan Tamariz. Caleb CalebWilesMagic.com Last edited by CalebWiles; 10-18-2010 at 01:23 PM. |

I feel like the trick needs to be done perfectly regarding "psychology" and I still find it really hard to perform correctly.
