So I wrote this, and sometime durring writeing I was automaticly logged off... So the review is gonna be less than it was because I spent a good hour writeing it...
The good. Fans look great! Artwork is superb! Handles smoothly out of the box. One way Back design, a few extras. The strength in this deck so far (after 2 days) is it's spring, dribbles and lapaul spreads are gorgeous! The bad. Stock feels flimsy as if they will wear out quicker, and also feels thinner than most standard stocks. The Ugly. Cut is absolutly horrible, feels as if it was cut with dull blades. Does not faro at all out of the box. Light Edged fan ![]() Dark Edged Fan ![]()
Like I said, I spent a good hour writeing, and now I'm irritated that I had to re-write. So if there are any questions or thoughts of somthing I may have left out, feel free to ask! Hope you Enjoy and get the answers you may have out of this. Brandon (Demon) Juhnke //merged// Sorry for posting here, didn't notice there was an area for playing card only (guess I was a sub-catagory off, lol) After playing with them for awhile, they aren't fanning as well and clumping up a bit but are faroing a bit better.

Wow...That is actually a really cool looking deck. Never got a Karnival deck before but I might have to check these out. Great for Haloween and mystery performances.
Thanks for the review! |

I had an idea for a haunted deck, but I've seen better performances that don't seem to use the standard
Penguine has them up for $6 right now.

The problem I find with this deck, are the faces.
They are just too charged, with the name of the card on it. And the court cards doesn't look nice at all. I'm happy with the deck performance, but not with his looks. Greetings; Owen Graven |

Yeah, it is more of a "show off" deck, the look will take away from almost any effect you perform with it. It is nicely done in the way it handles where as most decks with a lot of ink usually clump, like the "Tragic Royalty" deck.

Jokers have a very cool reveal built in as well.
//merged// Actually the aces are amazing with huge pips. Which makes them very cool for any trick that shows all four Aces at the end. //merged// I've enjoyed mine and use them often. Last edited by Chris; 09-12-2011 at 04:25 PM. Reason: Merged due to double post |

I've had the dead eye deck for close over a year now and they still handle well with haven't worn at all (although not used as much as rider backs). But quality of stock aside, this deck, in my opinion is built for decoration to create a horror/halloween routine around which I have done.
I bought a Karnival Assassin deck which admittedly does spread a littel nicer due to less ink. So I suppose it depends what you use them for, flourishes or tricks. |
