I haven't watched the entire video that this illusion is from (Knock 'em Dead), but this trick for me seems worth the dough.
The trick (a matrix effect): A card is selected and signed by a spectator, the magician takes the card and punches 4 holes (1 in each corner). The magician then takes the card, with the back to the audience, and visually moves the holes to one corner, turn the card around to reveal it is indeed the spectators card, hand the card back for inspection, profit. The trick it's self is pretty straight forward, but relies on angles to be effective, without expossing to much (I will be happy to write a tutorial if enough people want it), when punching you often get into un-natural positions, and while moving the holes, the card must be around chest level and slightly tilted forward for the effect to appear magical. My fiance is my test spec, she usually knows how things are done, and was pissed and grabbed the deck from my hand to try and figure it out, lol. There is a couple gaff/gimmicks you need to make, but nothing more than what you may already have. Overall I give it a 5 out of 5, the angles are weird, but is one of the few tricks that is worth the trouble, very visual, and breath taking effect that will leave your spectators wanting more!
