What are some of your favorite magic related books and why?
I will start off the list: Revelation - Dai Vernon (Not Revelations) This book is annotated extremely well, and it has many fantastic technician-friendly, mechanical, physical, and diabolical hand strains. Not to mention, the book is quite beautiful. I would recommend this book to anyone for the material obviously, but also for the history. H & R Magic Books Expert at the Card Table Too vintage and outdated? Possibly to some, which is sad. H & R Magic Books Ron Bauer's Private Studies Series First of all, I would just like to point out that Ron's work is the most thought out, scripted, and well developed that any other magician's work that I have read or seen. Ron's booklets are designed to make you a better performer and thinker. Do not judge a booklet by its cover. Purchase Performance Scripts Secrets of Brother John Hamman Collected Almanac Complate Works of Derek Dingle I hope that you will love and use books to your advantage and appreciate them as much as I do. |

Absolutely fantastic books Zach! I definitely need to check out those Private Studies manuscripts of Bauer's sometime. Anything that bears the name Ron Bauer on it, you know automatically will be good. Looking forward to checking those out!

Glad to hear some replies! Banachek's stuff is fantastic, now why do you like it? Do you prefer Banachek over other mentalists? Which Psychological Subtleties book are you currently reading? How well does he get his point across in the book (How easy is it to read)
These are all things to be taken into consideration when reviewing books.

Paul Brook - Alchemical Tools.
This book changed me, it made me think about stuff i wouldnt have before. The way i handle my routines, people and above everything myself is making my routines really spring. It gives you a lot of information on entertaining and he goes over a lot of pyschological aspects of performing. I reccomend this to any magician and mentalist!!! M.
