Family Magic I & II by Edward Glassman

Here is a nice book for those somewhat new to card magic. There are some very good and simple tricks in this book. Dr. Glassman does a good job of presenting the effects and gives a lot of information about the effects and the sleights behind them (if any). The second volume has some card tricks where the magician has the spectator do all the card handling. Here is a link to an except from the book; MAGIC TRICK: Creative 'Key' Trick - MAGIC TRICKS and TEAM CREATIVITY NEWSLETTER He uses very basic principles to perform seemingly greater miracles. You may consider purchasing the book just for that reason.
