Hey all,
I'm just curious, who was the last magician you saw perform in person (street, stage, whatever)? I saw Brock Gill about 2 months ago. He came to the University Center here at University of Tennessee-Knoxville. His show was pretty cool. He's coming back to Tennessee in April and i'd like to go see him again. |

I saw Penn & Teller last night.
It was packed. I sat 5 rows back in section 1. Great view! Afterwards I met both of them. I'll post a picture or 2 later. They are not my favorites but they do put on a great show. Thery do a very good Torn And Restored Newspaper. I love their way of revealing and trick, yet not revealing it. They did the classic cup and ball routine and then proceeded to do it again with clear plastic cups. My favorite for the night was their version of sawing a woman in half. Blood was flying all over! If you have a chance to see them, I would highly recommend it.

hah, that sounds awesome! Everything is better with fake blood. I did a quick youtube search of that cups and balls trick with the clear cups and its hilarious. The golfer didn't know what to think
I wish professional magicians came around here more often. I've seen only two, Jason Michaels and Brock Gill. |

Last show I saw was at my local yearly convention, main names there were Wayne Dobson & Dan Garrett.
I was standing outside the front door when a car pulled up to a set of barriers, a woman got out of the car and said "How do we get past?", I said I don't think you can today because its a private convention, she replied "I have Wayne Dobson in the car". I've never seen barriers taken down so fast lol.

He's great, unfortunately he is in a wheel chair now and not in the greatest health, but we watched videos of him on a projector while he talked us through everything.
