Default Rip Off trick

Hey guys, after speaking to somepeople on Tinychat and agreeing that this is a rip-off i thought i would share it with all of you.
Welcome to The Ultimate Card Trick

I mean seriously, 41 minutes to explain a Swing Cut and a Double Lift and it costs $7, i was doing that trick when i first started magic.

I respect Jay Jay and The Magical G, but this is..... an abomination!!!
(A little exaggerated but ah well)

What do you guys think? Rip off or Worth it?

If I've said it once, I've said it a thousand times. There is nothing really new in magic other than effects that may be based in new technological advances. The same ideas keep circulating around and popping up with a new face attached. For someone who has never experienced this combination of sleights, this is new and amazing. For those of us who've been around magic for a while, it's no big whoop. All a matter of perception. How many times have we "invented" a new trick only to find it later in one of the Tarbell volumes?!

I wouldn't call it a rip-off. The trick consists of very basic building blocks. I can remember how the world of card magic opened up for me when I learned the basic 'key card' principle. I've since moved on from there but there are still times that I'll go back to it.

with the right presentation a key card could come off as a well enough effect.

i concur though, people are just rehashing old techniques and either giving them a different name. or just using it as is

i forgot to mention guys that today the price goes to over triple the amount!!

i think about $21 for that is a bit of a rip off to be honest in my opinion.

Of course everyone has their own opinion

I remember starting in magic, me subbing to one of their street magic "cources" and it was okay, but then I got royal road for half the price and got more out of it.

I have seen this before, This'n'That on youtube is being sold even though its colour monte with different things written on the cards. Disgusting!

I checked out the video link and if that is all that is taught then I would agree with hexcruncher, but what is the content of the package? Unless you have it you wouldn't know. If he does an in depth explanation of the DL, its numerous variations (variations) and as well as other sleights explained the way the Richard Kaufman did basic card technique I think the price would be good (given that it is at the same calibre). But if that is all that is taught, well yeah I do feel it is a rip off at USD 21.
