A year or two back, I wanted to learn Panic, by Aaron Fisher. Google brought me to EM, with Panic being hidden by a 20 (!!!) hide block. I came on originally thinking, as I'm sure many of the current new users do, "just post whatever to get the posts, then who says you have to stay?". I soon became engrossed in the discussions we had, and this was one of the nicest forums I have ever been on.
Needless to say, I stuck around. (Also, the crumpets really ARE amazing.)

Same way, searching a trick in google, don't remember pretty well what, I think it was a sleight,.. whatever, I started because of the hidden blocks, and after I saw the guys are so kind and helpful I've decided to stay and by looking around a little bit more deeper in the forums I had realised it wasn't a bad idea at all.

like most people, i came across it searching for comments on 10 exact cuts and mentalism. but what made me wanted to register was seeing how everyone was friendly to newcomers and patient with questions. cheerios!

I joined because I wanted a place to talk to people about magic.
I personally know two people in town who practice magic seriously so I dont have many people to talk to about tricks and stuffs.
