The Academy!?

Someone mentioned something to me about 'The Academy' on this forum for beginner magicians!?
I can't seem to find it anywhere. $:\$

its on the main page but i think that you have to be allowed to see it after a set number of posts but i think you should be there now

Duder -

You have to have a certain amount of post in ... Also there may be a time delay (I think there is) to keep secret seekers from simply joining and getting the answers without any plans of staying and contributing...

The long and short of it is you are on double secret probation mister!

Wait a just a little longer and you will gain access... With your currentl activity level I expect less then a week!

The time delay (I believe) is set to 7 days. You have to have 10+ posts and have been registered for a week. That gains you access to the Academy Level 1. Levels 2 and 3 come after considerable numbers of posts.

Minimum entry for level 1 academy is 10 posts and 1 week registration. It is the only academy level that is restricted by time your registered. The other two (level 2-3) academy is 70 posts and 150 posts I believe.

Did we clear things up for ya?

Cool beans....

Just a suggestion but maybe we could make a sticky using the best set of info here explaining the academy access and delete the rest of it so we are not cluttering up the place.

I don't feel like killing that thread is the correct thing to do. Maybe a swift skimming to update the information is a little better way to tackle it. But I do agree we need a better way to get to the correct information we need. A lot of the info in the guidelines thread pertains to the way ExoMagic was a few months ago. A lot has changed in the past few months and I am glad it did, but there is still a lot of cleaning up that needs to be done.

I added more information in the Academy portion of the thread. It pretty much clears up the entire promotion, and if it doesn't the Academy thread can be read.

If there are updates to the rules and guidelines that are needed, please contact me ASAP.
