So, what would YOU like to see in ExoMagic now?

So, the site is going through a bit of a metamorphosis right now. With the download section gone, Im sure that those who were only here to download as much as they can and had no interest in helping the community will choose to leave. But I know that there are a lot of us here who love the community and are really just all about helping each other. So, for those members, what would you like to see this site become? With the download section being gone, we actually have a GREAT opportunity to make something big here at ExoMagic.

So, since there are going to be some changes going on, lets help Exo with some fresh ideas on what could take the place of the download section, some ideas for other sections or concepts for the site, and some ways of maximizing how great this community really is. The only rule is: NO ASKING FOR NEW DOWNLOAD SECTIONS, LINKS, OR WAYS OF SHARING VIDEOS OR BOOKS.

So, any ideas? And........**wait for it**......DISCUSS!!!

Well i noticed that more people are getting int the community section and are accually adding more to the forums like i added my description of a trick i came up with and someone has looked at it and back with the downloads maybe no one or just one persone might have looked at it i think the community has gotten closer because all the people here just for the downloads have left.

I would like to see more members videos, or their own tutorial videos. I also like to see more of members written instructions of tricks or written instructions of ideas of gimmicks or tricks/routine they have come up with.

By doing that, It is also a good way to learn to write more clearly, and you can also get comments and suggestions of ideas and critisim of others of your trick, like this you can refine your ideas and tweak it. Maybe one day you'll invent a great trick all because of the brainstorming.

And I think I would like a Magic News sections? Not sure if there's enough already news out there by googling, but maybe I might have missed some magic news which is near your area.... or news about a magic lecture by magician nearby? or magic discounts? Well... I have signup for enough magic newsletter from dealers... they are always telling you they ave sales sales sales.... it's always the same, but sometimes they do have good deals and available to their members or newsletter receiver only, which have special purchase links.. maybe posting news like that would also help some other members that don't know?

i love to talk about showmanship, about how you pratice and perform the effects. i think it is a good idea that we could help other pratice and inspire other to pratice and perform magic.

i see many people know the trick but not all of them know how to perform.

Well, I'm glad to see the gimmicks section survived, so I think I'll be spending more time in that area, seeing as I like that kind of stuff.

I agree, I enjoy how more people are visiting the lounge and checking in on the threads. It kinda helps the community, and it spreads knowledge that a lot of people wouldnt have because they run right to the download section. I've noticed that my posts are getting a lot more attention because a lot of the members who have decided to stay are putting more attention to the community section than to the Download sections postings...

An idea could be adding the thank-you option to some sections of the Forum, that way people can still be thanked for things they've helped out with.

I think we should keep the registrations closed and just open it every once in awhile. We could turn into like... a super pro underground magic site. Lol I'm always so ambitious about everything... let me run an ice cream stand and I'll talk about taking on Ben and Jerry's. But yeah, we've got great minds and don't have too many tools kicking around, I'd hate for us to turn into a HowTo site and flood the forums with garbage. I think we should keep things closed up and just work on creating our own stuff and helping each other out.
