What are you doing if a spectator reveals a sleight?

What would u do if a spectator reveal a double lift, or pass, or the turn over thingy in the "ambitious card"?

Ok ok, it seems that some people are not taking this thread too seriously, but this is a BIG issue with restaurant magicians and strolling magicians. I found that the best solution in a restaurant situation is to distance yourself from the heckler. If he starts revealing your methods ignore him and continue your patter. If you have a good one, people will pay NO attention to him.

However, sometimes ignoring does not get rid of them. If they continue to reveal your methods simply do a closer trick (one that he will not be able to explain) and find another group. If the group wanted to see your magic that bad, they would have shut him up.

You pretty much deal with these people the same as you would deal with a heckler.

That's what I am afraid of, but i guess with experience you'll learn to deal with it.

David Stone's Real Secret of Magic DVDs gives you some advice on how to deal with those people, and as I remember RSVP magic also released some dvds which helps you with that.

for aggressive spectators you should just walk away...its not worth revealing the secrets of magic

If there is a poll in this one. I say i will stick my vote for exo one. as i think most of the trick got another alternate trick to it which do the same effect. If being force to redo the trick that is. This might really pull the trick.

Just leave. Obviously they aren't interesting in the tricks, they just want to ruin it for everyone.

if a spectator reveal a double lift or any move you make, there's two possiblity. you're not doing it well or he/she is only guessing.
i always have a double back in my deck and it's very usefull for this kind of situation
when it's happpen i do "trick that fooled houdini" and after that i explain if i do the double lift and toss the card to table the top card of the deck will be face up..
for me it's a kicker ending..
BTW there's a vid "heckler" it's teach how to deal with these kind of spec

I try to prove him wrong by changing my methods

ex: somone tells people the secret to the ambixtous card routine, I say what are you talking about and do the same effect with a pass

I like to switch routines into something with a strong sucker effect and use his slight knowlege of magic to your advantage.
