Short Disappearence

Well, I haven't been able to get on much recently. mainly because I've spent a few days hiking and camping with some friends. So as you can imagine the only way to get on would be on my iPhone, but i had next to no signal. So I'm back now after a successful few days hiking and camping, hope everyone is well.

I do need to ask an off topic question now, does anybody have a Macbook Air they are selling?

I have been contemplating getting one for a while, but haven't had the money to do so. I would be looking for the 2008 model and preferably the 13 inch screen but screen size doesn't really matter because it will be used on an external monitor most of the time.

So I take it, that you will not be a 'power user.' Remember that you will need an external optical drive for it.

I find the MacBook Air very limiting. The solid state drive is nice but far too small for my tastes. Even a 1 TB drive is easily filled. The MBAs are nice notebooks but just don't fill my bill. When traveling I take my IPad and either my Dell Hackintosh (250 Gb SSD) or my HP Slate 500. My main laptop is a MacBook Pro with a 1TB drive and 8 Gb RAM.

I quite like the Macbook Pro myself but somewhat prefer the air. Anyways I found someone at my school willing to sell me their old 2010 Macbook Air. I quite like the Apple products especially their mobile devices.
