So I have just been invited by one of my friends to do some tricks at a "Wizard Academy" at a Harry Potter section of a Comic Con style event here in Ireland. I know that there will be quite a number of young kids and maybe teenagers at this event. I won't be the only person performing there but would anyone have any suggestions as to what tricks or routines are ideal at this type of event because well, I haven't watched Harry Potter. So I am really stumped. The event is in February so I have a few months to get some routines sorted.

you could perform the head drop trick gimmicking a long mantle tipic of hogwarts students and the scarf to "cut" your head with the chain through neck trick, it's very impressive expecially for child (make funny faces when your head is down). i reccomend this as a closing trick, before you could do some kind of levitation, i think it will fit in the situation better than a card trick.

Andrew Mayne has an effect called 'Bisection' that would probably go over well.
Check out the video;

Levitating a broom would be appropriated I guess. Since you have time before the event, you should watch the movies, it might give you some ideas. I know, it may be a little painful, but it will be over before you notice. XD
