I have been having a difficult time with this routine for a while. At first I thought the balloons were getting dried out and then I thought I might have a small nick on the needle point. I just couldn't consistently puncture the balloon without it popping. I decided to try petroleum jelly instead of the oil that I had been using for a long time. What do you know? I'm not popping the balloons when I puncture them. I don't even have to spend the extra money for the heavier latex balloons! A couple of the balloons even stayed inflated for over an hour after the needle was removed.
I just thought that I would pass it along.

That's a nice touch. I used to use tape, masking tape or just normal clear tape which would last a good while. I will have to try some petroleum jelly next time i have a balloon. Thanks for the tip Harold.

Ok, but how long will the balloons stay inflated after I've re-formatted Windows? Last edited by Alex Hess; 07-04-2011 at 04:11 AM. |
