What is your 'Stage Name' and how did it come about?
I have always felt that a good stage name is important. Many of the 'stage names' I saw were from inflated egos. I personally would never chose one like 'The Magnificent Marvin' and such. If the name was given to me that would be a different story. My stage name is 'Doctor Magic'. For a long time I just used my name for billings but about 9 months ago one of the tribal elders here on the reservation started calling me 'Doctor Magic'. Since then others have started calling me that and the name has stuck. So when you see a billing with 'Doctor Magic' from Nebraska, that will probably mean me.

Haha, thats awesome Harold.
I've not had the opportunity to perform very much, which leads me to not having a stage name. Never got to that point, but the future will tell. I'll give some thought to a name I would like, see if I can rummage any up, but I think I just like being called Alex lol. |

Harold! er Excuse me. Ahem. Doctor Magic!
I too have noticed the big ego syndrome with names... So much so that I have been tempted to bill myself as "Misjief - the merely mediocre." However I am not sure everyone would see the joke in it. I still may do it as I my goal is to be a comedy magi and it fits my way of seeing everything as a big joke. LOL That said I am not sure if you noticed but I always sign off with a lower case -misj- Just to remind me not to get too big of a head, or to take myself too seriously. -misj- PS- because I pointed out the story of my lower case moniker I thought I do it backwards ... which is jism . Not good, but funny! LOL! |

I have a magician friend named Ian, and called himself "MagicIan" so I came up with a name "MagiChano".
