yea attention tests are cool.
not quite misdirection that we can use tho. but it does show a perfect example that if people are concentrating on something enough, then they will only pay attention to that. i just took a class on this kind of thing. check out change blindness. good stuff. |

This is perfect for magi... You just get them going on some silly detail and then you can get away with absolute murder and mayhem! I saw one where they were doing a card trick... They had me counting red cards. I already got caught once so I ignored it was watching for suits and the like. They STILL managed to xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx! Note: This has been edit to NOT reveal the secret! go to the second VID in this post and view it! This is gold... The limited conscious attention (seven plus or minus two!) is a BOTH a hypnotic and magic principle as far as I am concerned. I knew of it but never realized how easy it was to use and pull off.
