I love horror magic but I am really new to magic and I find it a really hard subject to find material on. I have one book called "freak show" - But I don't remember the author. Jim something - He had a tv show and guest stared on x files a couple of times. I am a hypnotist and in the book he gave one of the funniest gags I ever heard of. I hate to reveal this, but I am going to because it is so damn funny.

The author was doing a stage show in a bar and as he was working for his dinner and travel money he really needed it to go well. He is already desperate when he gets a complete jackass for his only volunteer. Not good. Most of my teachers & coaches recommend packing it in, or giving a lecture. Of course most of the EXPERTS also recommend getting paid FIRST. Anyways HE tries all the true methods and since the guy is only interested in ruining the show nothing is working. Finally he leans over and says to the guy "Listen, I really need your co-operation on this. Work with me on it and after the show $50 is yours".

Suddenly the guy does a complete 180, and becomes the perfect subject. The guy packs the bar and does an extended show with his single 'perfect' volunteer. Finally after he has had his eaten his dinner around the show and passed his hat (and collected his bonus from the bar) he says he is going to do one more induction and bring the subject out of it. He tells the jackass that he is going to come out of his trance and tell everyone the he absolutely was not hypnotized. He was faking it the whole time and that the hypnotist promised to pay him fifty bucks. PURE & EVIL GENIUS!! ROFL

Lets see here....

What else can I tell you about me? That's a VERY long answer. Lets start by narrowing that down. I love RPG's, I love to paint ball, long walks on the beach and cats.

My favorite effect is my Belly Ribbons. Either that or Triumph: Play it Strait.

I do have a favorite story!

I was playing in the weekly poker tournament at the local Hooters bar out here in Richmond, VA where I'm staying for the duration of the tour I'm on.

The waitresses all know very well that I'm a magician and it's not uncommon to get asked to do a trick every now and again. I was on the way out the door and I've already ehausted my usual ACR, prediction, and switch effects on this specific waitress in the weeks prior. She caught me on the way out and asked me for one single "last" trick before I go for the week.

I pulled out my deck of cards, took them from the box and told her to name a card RIGHT NOW. First card she thought of. She names the Five of Diamonds. I looked at her and lifted the top card off the deck and asked her if it was the Five of Diamonds, wouldn't it be the BEST card trick she's ever seen. She said yes. I turned it over, as it was an indiffrent card. I told her if that trick ever works I'd retire on sight. (Joke which people laugh at.) I go into my next phase patter. "You know it's funny that you named the five of diamonds..." Meanwhile I'm looking through the cards to cull it. No five.

Gears slip a bit in my head. I search through the deck again. No five. Everyone's looking at me, as I've drawn a crowed by now. The heats on. I give her the deck. Ask her to confirm there is no five. She confirms. Now I know I'm screwed. I have been using an older deck, I'm thinking maybe it's not a full deck and by Murphy's Law she named the ONE card that isn't there. I'm about to abort when I notice on the table that there was still a single card left in the card box. ...The Five of Diamonds.

There is nothing that I will ever be able to do that will ever come close to topping that effect. Not ever, and certainly not in that Hooters bar. As far as the girls in there are concerned, I'm a god.


My favorite color is black until they invent something darker.

And yes, I have danced with him. He's got two left feet.
