This is first time I've been a member on a magic-community. Hope I could enjoy my stay. I like the DYI Gimmick section, on that thread I learned a lot on creating gimmick tools and everything. So I've decided to join the community to maximize my magic experience.

There's a lot of info in the gimmicks section, but even more will be shown in the Academy and hidden posts once you reach ten (10) QUALITY posts on the forum (Posts in the "Introduce Yourself" forum don't count). If you make what we call "Thank you posts", they will be deleted, as well as any posts written solely to boost your post count. We are pretty strict on this, since we don't want any old laymen coming in and finding out methods to effects. If you ever have any questions, PM me or one of the other ExoMagic Staff for assistance.

Official business being said, welcome to the forums! What sort of effects do you do? What are you working on right now? What's your favorite type of pie? This is the place to let us get to know you, so we can help you as much as we can.

I agree on this, the true art of magic is never reveal it's secrets.

Ah, we have a slightly different philosophy here. True, magic must never be revealed to a spectator or any old laymen that wants to know how it's done. Among magicians, however, we feel magic should be freely shared. If this didn't happen, the magic community would stagnate, and rarely would something new and better come out.

Never share secrets with just anyone. Only share secrets with people whom you know will put those secrets to good use.

I am a huge believer in the fact that as an artist, you need to know ALL aspects of your art to fully understand it and be good at it. I admire Painters who make their own paint. Granted, there is time of study where they copied the greats in order to hone their skills, but they then go on and make their own master pieces with skills they learned/picked up and created themselves...

Sound Familiar? It should.
