Welcome Silverfei!
Someone will eventually, probably, likely, ask you what your favorite Pie is. What have you been practicing for 10 days? I just learned Crazy Mans Handcuffs over the weekend while trapped in the snowy mountains with a wife and two kids. This video IS NOT ME. I have no hair. Good execution on this video, although I would have brought them apart a bit slower the first time. -MM |

we don't actually eat pies here in the philippines.. we're more of a rice country.. for snacks, there's a lot of street foods here such as fishballs and squidballs..
i'm more into card tricks lately.. for 10 days, still practicing on card switch through double lift, inverting cards by grabbing the top card to the bottom (i forgot to ask my friend what move that was).. slip force method, and another once which i watched in youtube.. (by now you'd figure i don't have a knack in remembering names).. lolx.. and creating a knot without letting go of the rope.. haven't perfected all of them and still practicing.. i love the video you shared.. i'll be practicing that one right away.. ^^ |

Hi Silverfei,
I don't get out to the philipines much...ok I must admit, I've never even left this country. I'd recommend a few books/dvd's if you are REALLY interested. First, is Erdnase's Expert at the Card Table and you can get a free copy from erdnase.com right here. Roberto Giobbi's Card College is supposed to be great. I only have volume 1 and I do like it quite a bit, but it's expensive. Also, Jean Hugard and Frederick Braue's "The Royal Road to Card Magic" is also a good one. Those are some classics. For DVD's, Wesley James and Simon Lovell did a great cover of Erdnase's Expert at the Card Table. It's by Magic Makers (which I normally wouldn't recommend) but this is some really decent stuff. Daryl's Encyclopedia of Card Sleight's is a pretty good video if you can get over the eighties attire and presentation. At least the first DVD is, I don't have the others. All of these are what I would consider good introductions into card handling, sleights, and a few tricks tossed in. -MM |

I don't have the exomagic forum handbook handy BUT I am fairly sure that a favorite pie is an absolute requirement. *Smirk*
Mine is blueberry. But only if you have vanilla ice cream to go with it. Oh yeah - Good stuff! 10 days huh... 10 really long arduous magical days... That is a mere date. Just wait till you are married to it and it consumes your life... Drop by Drop. You come home from work tired and grumpy ... But still the magic is there demanding you work on that sleight til you get it right. Then YOU can talk mister! Hell I have been doing this for almost a month now... Oh the stories I could tell you kid. LOL -misj- PS- Welcome to the club! |

after having enough time to read through the guidelines, i found out that i was not able to follow instructions that is why i decided to reintroduce myself..
i'm jerick, as stated above.. 22 years old from Philippines.. i am pretty much a starter in this art.. if my count is right, it'll be my 12th day today.. bout how i got into magic? i used to play computer games with a friend until he had his GF.. recently, they broke up and he started to try performing.. we used to be so close that is why after the broke up, we got the time to hang out together.. he introduced me to some friends who also do magic and boom, i got interested and now we're trading stuffs and how-to's.. i haven't got any fave trick given the time span i had but i really wanna learn the ambitious card routine.. trying to work my way there.. i have watched some videos of ***********s namely Crash Course 1 & 2 and Ninja 1 & 2.. i don't know if it's a good way for me to start.. i hope you guys could help learn more tricks and techniques specially for a beginner like me.. besides magic, i enjoy playing computer games specially DOTA.. and studying... i am a 4th yr Civil Engineering student right now.. i also enjoy programming.. my favorite pie is...... oops, i don't think i have eaten a pie.. is there a pie with ripe mangoes in it?.. favorite pet would probably be a dog.. for drinks, i usually drink coca-cola.. or iced tea.. i think i got it covered from the start.. hope i get to meet friends here.. ^^ |
