Default Please allow me to introduce myself....

Hi, I'm Bill. I began my magic endeavors when my first son was in pre-school: he was being a naughty boy, and I showed him a simple trick (the old 'pull your thumb off'...after all, he was only four years old!) as a bribe to get him to be good the next day. After four days of this, he said: 'Dad, do a different trick?' And so it began, and has been going on, more or less, for the past 18 years.

* Age: 51

* Experience with magic and level of expertise: lotsa church and Scout shows, a few paid gigs for birthday parties many years ago. I consider myself a mid level amateur.

* Favorite tricks: anything with a thumb tip; this was my first trick that got reaction from someone older than four. Right now, I'm renewing my study of coins, re-reading Bobo.

* Other hobbies: watercolor, jewelry making, recumbent cycling, writing.

* Favorite animal: Hummingbirds.

* Favorite pie flavor: Every pie but coconut.

* Favorite soda: Coke Classic.

Welcome to the ExoMagic Forum Bill!

Glad to have you in our ranks! My name is Jacob. Feel free to call me...um...Jacob.

If you need anything while your here...let me know.

We are really very close knit. Kind of like a family here at Exo. Off the top of my head...Alex is the mom, Sam is the daughter no one wants, Brandon is the kid next door who comes over all the time for dinner and makes you think he is never really fed at home but actually is, Lyle is cousin that happens to have a crazy ugly twin brother and me. Well...I'm me.

I have a feeling your going to fit right in with us Bill. :-)

Yay!

Another Antique! This one is older then me! (I am 43!) A real collectible! Wahoo!

Glad to have you on board sir!

I don't know very much traditional magic - I am steeped from birth (practically) in hypnosis. The two go together really well and have a lot to offer one another!

This place is pretty fun especially if you actually mix up and post once in a while. I'd encourage you to do so as it sounds like you have a lot to offer!

I think Magicians are like wine personally. The older you get. The better.

Clowns are like milk.
You get the picture.

Scary. That is also what clowns are.... *shiver*

Default i used to be a clown

In my early days, I used to be a clown...named 'Peanuts' in honor of my Dad, who loved peanuts....

It is actually how I started in hand magic, since I had pockets full of peanuts in the shell. I learned the French Drop and did the trick with peanuts.

OK, so here is the scoop on 'Peanuts': one day, I had done a quick show for the church day care...all the kids seemed to enjoy the tricks, and spending time with 'Peanuts the Clown. Later that evening, I am doing walk around tricks, dressed as Peanuts, at the church festival.

From across the parking lot, I hear a little voice shout out: 'Mommy, Mommy, look, it's Penises, Penises the Clown!'

Peanuts stayed with me for about another ten years, then he was retired when I got really tired of trying to get the greasepaint out of my eyebrows.

You mean, those kids exists in other parts of the world? Not just my neighborhood? I swear my neighbor (a 15 year old) stays at my house more than he does at his house doing this exact thing.

Welcome to neighborhood Bill. I hope to still be doing magic 15 years from now. I actually got started in a similar fashion (for my kids) just recently and have even used magic as a "bribe" to get a kid (not mine actually) to brush his teeth.
