Rules for Introductions - Read Before Posting!

Hello Everyone,

The same rules apply to this section as they do forum wide. If you are unclear of the board-wide rules, please read the at:

You will find this introduction section a little more unique then most. Within this section post counts are not counted, therefor chit-chat and introductions can roam freely!

Some key things that we recommend listing when introducing yourself is:

• Age
• Experience with magic and level of expertise
• Favorite tricks
• Other hobbies
• Favorite animal
• Favorite pie flavor
• Favorite soda

These are all things that we will expect to look for during an introduction.

Here is an example of a proper introduction:

Hello,

My name is Alex Hess and I am currently 21 years old. I have been involved in magic for about 2 years (give or take a few months) and truly enjoy the entire concept from sponge-ball magic to card manipulation.

I would say I an fluent in magic but far from an expert. I can do strolling magic and amaze people with everyday objects, however I am not prepared with an arsenal of 100+ tricks to entertain people for multiple hours.

On a side note, I really enjoy psychology, philosophy, people, cars, and anything to get my adrenaline pumping. I also have a deep passion for computers, and web-design. I am currently employed as a Systems and Support Administrator at a very large chain of convenient stores.

My favorite pie is French Silk,
My favorite animal would be the dog,
I love soda, but stick to water,
and enjoy candle-lit dinners under the riviera.

That about sums me up, what are you about!?

Hi Guys!

I'm a 50+ year old physician from Canada. I'm an anesthesiologist by training but used magic in pediatric anesthesia to calm patients prior to surgery. Relaxed kids equals relaxed parents!

I now do magic as a hobby. My comfort level is intermediate, with particular interest in electronic magic effects. I also enjoy mentalism and like effects.

My other hobbies include skiing, scuba diving and all things Technical.

I came across this site quite by accident but hope to spend a lot of time around here!

Welcome to the site, Doug! Normally we have people create a new topic when they introduce themselves, but it doesn't really matter. And that's pretty cool how you use magic to relax patients, it seems like it would be nice to have a little levity in those types of situations. Hope to see you around on the forums!
