hey there tr3ndy- good luck with your quest to become great with a deck of cards.

Downloading dvds is great, and learning the secrets.

I recommend watching the performances as well. and not just going straight to how tricks are done.

I also suggest starting with self working tricks and learning a new sleight every week. The reason why i say start with self working tricks (ones that require no sleights) is because you have to work on your presentation. If no one isnt enjoying your self working tricks, its not the simplicity, or how dumb the we might think it is, its the way you do the trick, and what you say, or how you come across.

also- very important- make a list of all the tricks- the simple to the complex that you have learned, or want to learn. then you can go through the list every day, or other day, instead of trying to remember.. and say.. "oh yeah, what was that trick I need to practice? " then youll forget all the other ones youll want to be familliar with. on this list, put down certain flourishes, or other card drills that will improve your dexterity.

I have sections on my list split up from tricks, routines, sleights, and flourishes, and double lift utility moves, and forces, and false shuffles, just to give you an idea.
