Great to see a new face!

What type of magic do you normally perform? Are you a full-time magician or just for a hobby? Whats your favorite pie?

Hope to see you around!

haha great!

Im a close up card guy, but i have wanted to mess about with coins for a while (although i dont have the money for gimmicks). Unfortunately im not at the stage where i would feel confident to ask for money for the magic i do

As for pie, i like most, although i always have space for a little bit of rhubarb pie!

Welcome to Exomagic!

The great thing about Card and Coin magic is there is so much to do without ever having to use a gimmick. For card magic, get a copy of Erdnase's Expert At The Card Table and for coin magic get a copy of Bobo's Book on Coin magic. Both of these books can be found for free online - and legally.

After learning a few sleights with cards and coins, you will be ready to incorporate a few gimmicks, many you will be able to make yourself for very little money.

As you browse the community, feel free to ask questions, even very simple and basic questions. Everyone here is learning the art of magic and are willing to share their knowledge and experiences with others who are interested in learning the art of magic.

haha, thanks for the advice, but i already have both those books

i find magic with cards to be great both with and without gimmicks as the method is always hidden well, whereas with coins (without a gimmick) the first thing you think of turns out to be the method, especially considering that coin palms ALWAYs look awkward (even in the hands of david roth) and so to me i think that it would be to obvious...

especially in the uk where the spectators are alot more sceptical and hard pressing to find an explanation than in the USA

Hi Majicjoe123!

So, can you give me some examples of the card tricks that you've done that really wowed your audience? I love card tricks, the more visually stunning, the better! And, tell me, exactly what is a rhubarb? Is it delicious?
