You and I already tend to think alike... The original code was rather long and verbose (where your stuff seems to follow the suggestion of a hypnotist's version of a embedded command! Very clean and easy. I love this stuff! I am having issues getting net time but maybe you will be enough incentive for me to get serious and fix it. LOL

I just try to think very simple, I think of an effect I would like to see and then work backwards.

The method for me is an irrelevant factor, as long as it is the cleanest route from point A(the start of the effect) to B(the end of the effect).

Scripting is another thing I see as a important factor, 'slight of mouth' is often a much cleaner method than most slights and as it is verbal there is no psychical evidence to have to hide.

Make your own props? in what sense, I am intrigued

Nlp (in the sense of scripting as though you are using nlp) or an actual practitioner?

You been performing long?

Peter-

Sorry for the delay in response...
My laptop died... shortly followed by my desktops hard drive! LOL

I have net access from work but that is hit or miss, as I can.

Lets see...
I am a certified hypnotist with the NGH... The NLP thing is a useful sideline. I haven't done much with either professionally. I learned hypnosis as a kid to deal with pain due to a birth defect (fused hip). It probably saved my life when I broke my good legs femur in three places while mountain biking alone.

I loved magic as a kid and recently got back into it as a cheap hobby and educational hobby... It is cheap IF I make my own props. I started by taking the cheap magic kits I found at the thrift stores and redoing them in paper mache. I redid them as a larger matched set, that tends to look like it is a vintage wood kit. At first it took a while to figure out the technique but I am starting to get it down to a science.

So Far I have made TONS of simple pieces.... Mostly small boxes because they were easy to learn the fundamentals with. Then the guys introduced me to the idea of shells so I made dice, multiplying balls, ellis rings... Then I learned about fekes so I made thumb tips. Next came pulls... Along the way came wands, Top hats and Fezs while figuring out black art. I am now working my way through Lotta Jugs and Foo Cans - I am having troubles keeping my pieces water tight. LOL. If I use a oil base it works great but tends to discolor them - the water base looks nicer but doesn't seem to penetrate the paper as well so I have troubles. I think I will have to make the frame with a oil based product and then add a layer and use a water based one. Anyways I am petty old school and really focusing on learning (and stretching) the basic principles. I LOVE building props as a artist but mentalist don't really use props ... I think I will have to steer towards bizarre magic.

I have been so busy building that I have not been performing but I am getting fast enough at the builds and getting enough of a collection that it is getting time to put on a production!

I am thinking I will have to take some acting classes a the community college. I will "talk" your ear off if you let me. I'd love to trade ideas with you if you are willing. I am out of time on my break so will let you go and check back in a couple of days! *Smirk*

I am in Colorado ...

I'd love to get to the point where I could support myself by supporting other magi. That would be really cool.

I am originally started by taking small tricks and enlarging them ... Now I am going to take bigger illusions and miniaturize them.

Can't wait to hear what you have going, don't keep us in suspense too long!
