Hello all !
I'm new here...
I come from Belgium (I'm French speaking, so don't blame me if I sometimes make mistakes in English ).
I'm 36, I've 2 children (a boy, 9 yo and a girl 8 yo).
I practice close-up and street magic.
I'm a software ingeneer since years now.
In addition to magic, I play the guitar (not as good as Jimi Hendrix )
My favourite magicians are Giobbi, Tamariz, Duvivier, Vallarino, Bilis, Ascanio, da Ortiz, ...
I like new wave music (The Cure, Sisters of Mercy, Siouxsie and the Banshees, ...) and hard rock (Metallica, AC/DC, ...)
It's difficult to grade my level in magic, but I would say "aficionado".
My favorite tricks are mainly coins tricks, but also a lot cards ones (i.e. the one I'm working on for the moment: twisting the aces (Vernon)).
My favourite animal is the okapi.
My favourite pie flavour is apple pie.
I don't drink much soda, but a lot of different beers (In Belgium, there are about 1.200 different ones. But we drink them sparingly )

I hope I'll learn new tricks and techniques here.

What the hell is a okapi? Is it good stewed with potatoes and carrots?

I love New Wave - I graduated in 1985 LOL. You forgot good old Depeche Mode, Echo and the Bunnymen, and Howie Jones.

I am into Beer too, but keep it to a minimum or I get in trouble... Dancing on the table sort of thing.

I don't know many card tricks (yet) as I find them much harder to learn on your own from a book and the like. I have been practicing with the billiard balls lately and discovered they are rather versatile if you get good at them. I mean you can juggle them, use them in a egg bag, blah blah... Plus their are lots of gimmicks you can make with them, zombies, half shells, loop balls...

(Christmas is a good time to make them because you can use small ornaments as a base to work from!)

There was a time I wanted to go to Belgium so bad it wasn't funny. I almost got to go for work when 9/11 hit and fouled everything up. Oh well! another time or life maybe!

Welcome to the zoo! Make yourself at home. Teach us some handy french words - maybe some cuss words (nah!) or magic phrases (yah!).
