Guidelines for posting in the Gimmicks Section

Hey all, I just wanted to put this up to make it easier to reply to the topics in this section.

Topic title:
This should be relevant to the effect, and should have the effect name in the title. Please don't title your thread "OMG...", A good example is "Card Happening by Sanada" (Thanks iezama for the use of your thread title )

Tutorials:
If you are posting a tutorial as to how to make a gimmick, try to make it as professional as possible. Please keep spelling mistakes to a minimum, and try to use proper grammar. No one wants to read a paragraph of text that has no punctuations.

Requests:
If you are asking how to make a gimmick, please remember to be respectful. Remember, we are all sharing here, and no one wants to share with a jerk. Don't type in all caps, say thanks, and, most importantly, don't demand. You do not have the indisputable right know how this or that works; so don't act like it.
In addition, try to provide some information about the gimmick. Name and creator at the VERY VERY least. You should post a video or description of the effect, or possibly a link to the site it is on. If someone is sharing with you their ideas or knowledge, the least you can do is save them the time of looking for what you are talking about.

Hide Blocks
Hide blocks are necessary whenever you are giving an idea as to how to make something. Generally, the amount for hide blocks is 10 (ten) posts, but it can be higher if you feel the info deserves it.

To make a hide block, select the text you want to hide, and press the "HIDE" button in above the text area. A prompt will pop up, asking you to enter the option for the HIDE tag. Type in the amount of posts required to view the content, and hit OK.

Hidden Block (you must be registered and have 10 posts):

You do not have sufficient rights to see the hidden data contained here.

I might add to this later on. Everyone, feel free to post suggestions, and I'll edit them in.

I completely understand and agree with your post 100%. Keeping the content quality high is definitely something we would like to maintain.

Is this in the gimmick section? If not I have a simple design. This can be used to (amongst other things) vanish one of three different marbles from a closed fist. I have other gimmick designs and effects. ie Compass needle under mind control, homemade boon, mental force deck/card/locked deck and Gypsy Thread winding gimmick to make the set up foolproof. Are these in the gimmick section. If not how can I post them to this locked area.

I have already posted a drawing duplication gimmick but it is still in the open area.

Man am I glad to see you here!

I love making gimmicks but am rather new at it and you seem to have gotten the hang of it!

You should have access to the academy fairly quick here...
So you can wait just a little longer or politely ask an admin to move it for you (but then you won't be able to see the replies!)

Maybe you can post them in the open till you get access and then have them moved when you once gain access.
