Well, you don’t really MAKE magician’s wax. You buy it. BUT,
you don’t have to buy that expensive wax from magic dealers, you can find it much cheaper elsewhere. I’ve found a perfect substitution for magician’s wax, and I feel it is not only cheaper and easier to find, but also better. All I ever do when one of my “magical recipes” calls for magician’s wax is I go out to any Wal- Mart, pharmacy, or dentist’s office, and I get dental/braces wax. It is used to keep cover up jagged parts of braces, so that they won’t cut your gums, and it comes in very handy little boxes that you can carry with you everywhere. The wax also comes in mint flavored. If all you can find is the mint one’s, get it. It doesn’t really matter at all if it’s flavored or not, considering that the wax is still clear. And if you’re “lucky” enough to have braces or know someone that has them right now, most dentist’s and orthodontist’s offices will give you free packets of the wax if you simply ask them for some.

Cool, I use chapstick, which is a normal thing for anyone to have in their pocket, but I'm still looking for the stickiest kind. My wife's clear lip gloss is another good substitute.

I use Orthodontic Wax! it is very good in UFO card! it can handle coins and virtualy invisible. you can ask your local dentist where to buy, or just buy at their clinic! besides, you would only need one box( 2$ ) for a year!

Orthodontic wax seems the way to go. I tried it once and its better than some regular magicians waxes.
