Hi
I watched a magician doing a trick where he was cutting his wrist with a knife... Pretty gory and all, as your could see the blood on his arm afterward he'd hand out the knife and wipe off his arm to reveal no cut. Here is my thoughts on how he did it. If you take a thumb tip and put a hole in the tip and back it with a sponge loaded with fake blood, then you could squeeze it to get your squeamish screams from the audience. A small bladder would be better if you could find one to fit. I bough some liquid sour candy that came in super small squeeze bottles that can be palmed fairly easily Way back when, mad magazine had a issue devoted to magicians and one of their tricks was getting blood from a stone or turnip by squeezing it. Mad's answer to the gimmick was shards of glass! LOL You could actually do this trick with my gimmick. -just a thought -misj- |

You could also use rubber cement to create an extra layer of skin and under that 'blister' have the reservoir of fake blood. This would all wipe off neatly with a rag.
A thumb tip is also an alternative.

here's a quick recipe i use, about 100ml of liquid glucose, or glycerin, 10-20 drops of red food dye and 1 drop of blue food dye, you may need to slightly water down the liquid glucose solution as it usually comes too thick for use for fake blood.

hmm, never spilled any so i didn't think about stains. BEWARE-fake blood might stain.
I perform sick by sean fields, so i add some flavouring to my fake blood (vanilla extract) so that i can lick the knife blade when i'm done, and get a nice vanilla taste
