Super Soaker Squirt Ring - DIY @ $2.00

Hi All.

I was riding my bike today and made my usual stop at the dollar store for a snack. While I was there they had a Fantasma joke kit (with a squirt ring) and a jumbo squirting flower for a buck each. I picked them up with thought of combining the two to make a 'super soaker' squirt ring for hecklers and the like. The ring in the kit* looks decent (Gold with a Fantasma swirl) if they don't get too close and the water reserve on the flower is huge and comes with 3 feet of tubing. LOL

First the good news - I was able to line all the pieces up correctly seal them all up so they don't leak. Cause even left alone in their original state they leak. Hay, it is the dollar store! I used a piece of straw to mate the ring to the pump.

Now, The bad new is that all the rings in the silly kit are defective - they don't have a hole in front of the ring, and they do have one in the back! it is too bad as they are actually well designed (for what it is and costs). I heated up a needle and put one in front and sealed the one back with some glue. Just push a needle up the tube on through the front, if you go from the front you will screw up the face of the ring!! Also the rings are pretty small - pinky rings on a adult. On the upside the hole I put in is probably smaller and better hidden then the oem ones. LOL

After the minor surgery I shot my cat, Scooter, a full face full from across the room. No clawing the furniture, Buddy! It has a good range and far more ammo then the most silly rings! Pretty fun - definitely worth the two bucks I threw at it.

BONUS: You get a piece of fake chewed gum and a small rubber pencil - the fake mustache is absolute crap - Although I will use the nose for one of my puppets. I plan on using the chewed gum as a load for my chop cup. Not sure about the pencil, yet.

On a hot day do you think I could get away with a short burst into the audience? Good way to fly or die? Which is it? I figure worse comes to worse, I can TRY to shoot them and when it fails, I take a closer look a get a face full! Should be good for a laugh or two.

You know WHAT! You could do a really cool piece where you blow out a candle with the power of your mind. This thing is pretty accurate and a short burst wouldn't be seen - especially in the dark!
