As you spend more time here you will find a wealth of information. In the academy area there are a number of various 'pulls' described. You may want to search for 'pulls' or 'raven' and you should find quite a bit of information. To gain access to the academy area you need to make a certain number of posts and also have to be signed up for a short period of time.
If I can be of help, just let me know.

Hi-
If you take the magnet from a computer hard drive - They are quite powerful, flat and generally shaped like a horseshoe. I have made a couple pulls out of them. It can be as simple as wrapping in a layer of duct tape leaving a flap and poke a hole into it for the line. Because they can be fragile I have paper mached mine and made it flesh colored to reinforce it some. Pretty easy stuff really. *** I am unaware of the differences between a gecko and a raven. Anyone care to enlighten me on it? -misj- BTW- Rather then saying sorry for your bad English why not thank others for allowing you to practice your English? The same basic message is implied, in that English is not our native tongue but in asking forgiveness you have apparently giving offense - where as if you thank someone then you are in fact extending a courtesy in thanking them for theirs. It put's you in a better position relationship wise and cost you nothing. Just a thought! Last edited by Misjief; 01-05-2011 at 07:33 PM. |

Misjief, I think there is information on the differences between the two already here somewhere.
Without going into details and exposure; both are pulls but use different methods to attach to the object being vanished or produced. You can use a magnet, alligator clip, sticky dots/tape, etc to attach to the object. There are heavy duty and lighter duty pulls and pulls that have a combination of ways to attach to the object. I rarely use a pull of any sort anymore. I already have too many things up my sleeve- Sleeve Star and Ultra-cinese. In my presentation of Jay Sankey's 'Vanish Ink' I use a pull for the final vanish of the Sharpie Pen.

H-
I got the idea of making pulls from you ... So I made ONE with a bunch of 'attachments'. You name it I probably have it. My favorites being alligator clip, thumb tip, and MAGNET. Since most of my handmade kit is done up with iron ferrite I have a whole series of magnetic holdouts, droppers and the like. -misj- |

I’m searching for a long time one tutorial learning how to make a gecko. None found. I’m sure it is much more difficult then a "magnet" gimmick (I made this one, lol). So, and btw, Ill see in academy.
