Misj, it's an effect by wayne houchin. It's sold by theory11 but you should try check exomagic's shop out.
It's a trick where pips visually move from one place to another to find the spectator's chosen card.

That's odd, I can't find them either I do know that we used to have them. I'll contact Alex (or maybe he'll see this thread), and find out what's up.

I think you can make them yourselves using IT. There's a thread about making it in the past (way before I joined exo). You can try using the search function.

Ah, the distortion gimmick is called "The Moving Pip" card. The gimmick in question used to be incorporated in a stage routine with Jumbo cards. Michael Ammar popularized this gimmick, and brought it into the realm of close-up and applied this principle to poker-sized playing cards in his routine "Visually Yours".
Michael Ammar's routine is also taught on the Distortion DVD. While you could make the gimmick, it's very frustrating to try and do so. Not to mention the final product probably won't be nearly the quality as the one you get with the Distortion DVD. Upon purchasing the Distortion DVD, you also purchase the right to buy replacement gimmicks, that are handmade by the crew at T11. I'm still using my gimmick that originally came with the DVD. I've owned mine for around a year and a half now. I'd highly recommend purchasing this legitimately, it's well worth the money. Last edited by industrialchild; 06-29-2010 at 11:16 PM. |

Sorry for not getting back sooner, I've been having trouble getting online. Anyways, I talked to Alex and it turns out that we no longer carry the gimmick. Sorry for the inconvenience, but, as others have already shown, there are many other alternate sources.

Not to discourage you from buying it. You really see the value in buying it for yourself.
On the other hand, when you try to construct one yourself, you may end up creating something totally new or an improved version. I think of all the people who have taken Patrick Page's 'Easy Money' and created some very good variations and improvements to his idea. Just look at the Heiny 500, Extreme Burn, and Hundy 500- All started from Patrick Page's basic idea. The same is true with the 'Torn And Restored Newspaper' by Gene Anderson. There are many versions of this effect, all based on the basic effect from Gene Anderson. What am I saying? Buy the effect (support the magic industry) but also don't be afraid to experiment and mage the effect better!
