Group chat in skype?

video call.. talk about magic or crap... LOL
what do you guys think?

Well we already have Tinychat for that where you can type to each other or hook up your microphone or webcam for free

sometimes it is crowded but with time differences it might be empty

We have a thread floating around here somewhere and another in the staff section. We are actually looking to put together lectures via Tinychat. Essentially what you are talking about trackme.

There are a couple of good magicians critiquing and advising others.

However, for now, it is just going to be a gathering spot. You can still learn from others, but as of right now we are not offering any official lectures or broadcastings.

Magic, of course! I use to preform magic quite often, however things have been a little distant from me and the art. I have quite a few things to take care of before I can get into performing again

Another recommendation onto this TinyChat is to begin scheduling times that we will be on. What does everyone think about scheduling times?

I'm not trying to be rude by saying this but scheduling times for people to be on won't work.

The heaviest traffic (coming from Americans) of the day on tinychat is between 8pm ET and 2am ET.

The heavy traffic coming from other members from other parts of the world comes in the middle of the day (usually between 2pm ET and 4pm ET) for the members here in America.

I just checked the time in the Philippines and its is 11:43pm there. That's +13 hours. With a time gap like that there is no way to set a schedule to get you and all the other people on tinychat at the same time. It just wouldn't work. I personally (unless it's Tuesday or Wednesday) can only be on between 9am ET - 11am ET (12am - 2am Philippines time) and then I can get on again around 8:30pm ET - 2am ET (11:30 am - 5pm Philippines time).

That being said the heaviest traffic part of the day on tinychat (stated above) would mean it would be between 11am and 5pm in the Philippines.
But the best time for you would be like 5am ET - 9am ET. That would put your time at 8pm - 12am Philippines time.

Again I am not trying to be a jerk or be rude but I don't know how many of us are willing to get up at 5am to talk on tinychat.

Well I'm from uk and If I'm write its 4 hours difference from america so what you could do is to get a member of staff who lives around the european aread to schedule a time for us and one whos from america to schdule a time for people who live in your area and then maybe on a friday night or saturday we could have a big online one as mot people dont have work on saturday morning or sunday morning

In Skype, with conference calling, you don't get video. I would juts suggest Tinychat. It seems to work pretty efficiently.
