Stars

I noticed with the face lift of ExoMagic that we now have stars under our names what do these have to do with. I thought at first it had to do with our level of clearance, but after seeing other peoples names and stars I have no idea. Anyone care to enlighten me?

I think it is related to "THANK YOUs"
But the more I look into I feel I am wrong.

I tried google.com, no answer there.

it sounds right though we both have one star and we both only have to thanked in our profiles.

I believe the stars represent our post count.

Jacob and I both had one star until the other day. The only difference now is Jacobs post count is above 500 and now he has 2 stars.

I think I have one star because I have 100+ posts. I think this is right because no one under 100 posts has a star.

Alex has three and his posts are over 1500. And Houdini has 4 stars because his posts are over 2000. I think 4 stars is as high as it gets. Unless after 2000 it goes by the thousands instead of 500.

I may be wrong but I'm just guessing anyway.

Oh...I forgot to update you on this.

Sam, you are 100% correct.

The stars are a level decided by Post Count.
0-99 is no star.
Getting 100 Quality posts earns your a level clearance and 1 star.
500 posts gets you 2 stars.
1,000 gets you 3 stars.
2,000 gets your 4 stars.
And 5,000 posts gets you 5 stars!

if you are active on the forum and make good quality posts they rack up quick I have only been a member of ExoMagic for a month and have almost 200 posts already.

when i first started on here trying to get my 10 was the hardest i think. because I was like man what am I supposed to say I don't know these people. It didn't help either that in the introduce yourself thread I introduced myself and no one replied to my introduction.
