Two little Suggestions

Hey there,
here are two things I thought about which could increase the board's quality a bit further:

1) Avg chars/post display in profile:
I once had a board on my own as I was playing PC-games in a clan. I installed a hack that showed the average characters the forum members posts contained. I saw that in other boards, too and really liked it. It's an easy way to seperate "spammers" from the guy that really deliver content and participate in the discussions indeed!

2) Using the Calendar function to put up upcomeing andor long expected releases.

Let me know what you think about those!

Love both ideas, I may have to find this hack.

The calendar is somewhat being used. I try to release the latest magic releases on the calendar, but its hard with all the other things I have to do.

I didnt even know we had a calendar? Is it just a section and I'm not looking. Okay I'll look around for this. Anyway, sounds like a good idea. If what you mean is for everyone to see my average posts a day then thats pretty good because we all know who is actually contributing and can suspend or do whatever the mods think is right, to the people who are spamming and whatnot.

Yeah, I like the avg posts per day. It will really cut down on those short "thx 4 the upload" posts used simply to get to a certain post count number.

And I never knew about the calendar. But it has got Control and Fallen and all sorts of stuff on it. Perhaps we could use it to gauge when certain uploads turn up...

All right team, lets carry one of these tasks out.

I would like us to start scheduling new releases on our calendar for the users to keep themselves up to date.

All staff members, please refer to the staff-section for further details and instructions.

This will be affective on 3/01/09. It will be completely finished and ready for rolling out. Within the upcoming weeks you will see various things listed throughout the calendar, please excuse these until the final release in March.
