I am not at all saying that the thank you system is useless, I quiet like it, I know that it is another way of saying thank you, but what is it for?? where will it get you??? If I get 100 will I get a lollipop??? I'm just joking.


Other than that I really like it, just wanted to know if there was another reason what it was for. and also there is also a reputation system, whats that for, But I still like it.

Thank you button is a quick way of saying thank you, without needing to type in Thank You or adding mostly 'Thank You' post which sometimes is clogging up the forum and making useful advice/comment harder to find.

Pressing the thankyou button shows that you appreciated the upload, and it will take up less server space, as i know every word and post you make will take up some space in the database on the server, so if there's like 1 Million Thank You post, it will probably take up a significant amout of Megabytes on the server.... then the system might requires more resources to run... the maintainence and running cost of this site might go up...

Although nobody will know that you downloaded their files, and you can go download all the files every single ones posted here and without saying a single thankyou. Sometimes online is just the same as in real world, it is very unpolite not to say thankyou. And it might become a habbit to you and soon you probably forget to say thank you in the physical world to a friend ... and people will start thinking you suck.. haha.....

Hello,

Once again DonkeyKong has hit the nail on the head. We have implemented the "Thank You" button to lower the clutter in threads and to speed up the server load.

I am taking many ideas into consideration and it seems that I am going to have staff run through the forums and delete all useless "Thank You" posts. Everyones' post count shall remain the same, but we will no longer permit it.

Not sure when this will take place, but it is a definite idea for the future.

Also, please double check and make sure you post in the right sections.
