Chat about the cards, give some feedback. This is the place for non-specific questions and ideas, like "When will these be released?"
(The answer to the above question is: We have absolutely no idea. It depends on when we finish the design.)

What kind of programs are designers using?? Where do people learn the skills to design these cards?

(Seeker, I moved your post to this thread)
Programs like Photoshop and Gimp are used. As for learning the skills, well, how do you learn skills for doing magic? You look at some tutorials, practice, and experiment. I would like to note that even if the design itself is "bad", but the idea is good, it can still be used. The design may be reworked to be more presentable and professional, but still could be used.

Agreed.
I would love to be able to create a back design, but I don't know even where to start designs. I guess I can ask a art friend of mine...shes amazing...

Okay...So I was board and started to throw together ideas and I like this idea:
Obviously if you look at it...its not done. Just an jumping point for ideas. If someone whats to mess with the design a bit (someone who is more graphic art skilled) I can send the the individual images in a higher resolution. They look great in a NEGATIVE image too. (Reverse the black and white.) -Jacob

Looks pretty good, but the design seems......not clean. so if someone would clean that up. Also i do not really like the flowers around the sides. But looks good. i like the idea of wings.

Really?
I think the floral Peacock feathers are AWESOME! They are part of the Center part of the card that I couldn't get to fit without losing the pattern.

I think the design would work with a few minor changes. I'm looking at the original concept right now. if you left the wings about the same size and took out all the swirly feather stuff from the sides and started over from there. Now if you take the feather stuff that was coming from the middle of the long sides and put it coming diagonal out from the corners and a little smaller. that might make it a little cooler. and maybe a little less black in the wings. Maybe make them more like the swirly stuff around the border, or make them look like they have actual peacock feathers on them.

It might be pretty cool if you did something like what I did with the attachment. Don't poke fun at it. It's the best I could do with Paint. I'm not trying to toot my own horn but I think this way looks cool just because it looks like the wings are coming out of the card.
