I'm not sure if one exists out there, but I'd like to see one that has the back of a card with the image of the face/pips of another superimposed but reversed on it and possible faded...

Think of holding up the gaff card to a user that is say, the Queen of Hearts, as if you are getting ready to announce that the Queen is their selected card, only to say that the four of clubs is their card. When they ask how you knew that (maybe a little patter to suggest they should ask), show them the back of the card and provide patter about how sometimes the "ink" on a bad run comes off. (hide some ink somewhere to smudge on your fingers???) Then show them the card that was sitting on top of it, revealing their card. It's a double reveal!

Now...how to keep the back of that card obscured during use is another question to ponder.

I think it's better if gaffs on the deck could be used for more than one purpose so that It could be maximized. and the reveals should be possible for more than one card.

Maybe we could have a gaff card like the one in my thread In the lab where a coin vanishes and ends up on the spectators chosen card, but a problem would be with different currencies

well here is an idea for a gaff card trick

Your spectator picks a card and remembers it
their card is lost in the deck
the magician removes a king of clubs from his pocket, however he is holding a golf club.
The magician explains how the King of Clubs is a professional golf player and with a magicial gesture the magician spreads the deck out to find one card with a golf ball on the back, their chosen card.

Would anyone be able to design a King Of Clubs with a golf club instead of sword and a card back with a golf ball on it? if this is a good idea of course

Hey Hex,

Great, creative idea. I could certainly design the cards for you if you like. You could have a lot of fun structuring this routine. I think you would almost have to produce a golf ball at the end of it, it's just too perfect. I believe Tamariz has some stuff producing objects from cards.... John Bannon also has an effect producing an 8-ball (I believe it's in his book Smoke and Mirrors) If you did this as a bonus climax you would have ample time and misdirection.

great idea, keep creating.

why do you need wacky off-the-wall gaffs? why not keep it simple?

double facer.

double backer.

if you plan to make two colors of the same pack then make a double backer with both backs.

just simplistic and readily used gaffs. maybe a tapered gaff? like in a stripper deck.

Hey Web,
I think that if you are talking about producing a deck and including Gaffs then you are absolutely correct, the more versatile and utilitarian the better.

Even though it was posted in the thread, i think Hex was just trying to think outside the box for original and creative ideas that you could do if you could come up with any gaff cards that you wanted. And i think that's always a good idea to try and think of creative and original ideas.

I'm fairly sure that we are only looking at graphical gaffs; so no tapered cards, unfortunately. In addition, we have 4-6 cards to work with, so we've got some wiggle room on the gaffs. I'm sure a double backer would be nice, but a double facer would be pointless to include (We don't currently have plans to change the faces, so just use your standard double faced card).

Thanks for the feedback just1pin. And if you want to make the gaff designs then go ahead if you want. I will check up about making the golf ball production maybe switch the gaff card with golf ball for an ordinary card (aka. the one they actually chose). It would just be like Dead Cell from the ultragaff deck ( the principle of the golf ball production.)

A blank card or card reveals on one of the jokers would be cool like in the scorpion deck. Also maybe
a reversed color backed card like in the the red dragon deck. Also possibly no advertisement cards whatsoever would be great.

Josiah, from what i understand the gaff cards will be made INSTEAD OF the advertisements cards as i the ad cards will be printed as gaff cards

I know everyone wants unique gaff cards but I think I would like to see a doubled-backed card.

A double backed card? since we have 4-6 cards maximum I think a double backed would be nice. And something like cyril's chocolate kisses. .
