you can post themes, what design you want... somebody said something cartoonish, and alex said something exomagic themed, emblem, logo, colorus.. ok, i`ll take that in mind.

hmm colored one.. i don't like it so much, i think something is missing, opened for suggestions.

I like how you've got the fan view thing going on, so we knowhow it looks in a fan. And that corner looks pretty darned good.

I think that the solid ribbons are throwing it off a little, so maybe have the black outline of the ribbon, laid over the top of the white designs. The chains in the center look a little off as well... Perhaps have one bright chain going across the middle, then have an alternating scheme of two middles, one dark, two middles, etc. in each direction (I can only discern three shades of the chain, so correct me if I'm wrong).

A good spot to incorporate the logo would be where the black "suns" are on the red rectangles... Although it just popped into my head that use the different coloured chains to make the logo might look pretty cool. Do you use Photoshop? Would you be willing to upload your .psd so I can work on it with a little more control?

Brandon, Unfortunatly I don't have the .psd file anymore, so I can't change any thing to that design, It was kinda quick try type of design, dunno...

Dude these designs are awesome, but like some people said before the USPCC cannot print in that amount of detail, by which I mean the shading on the left and right part of the design. Take a deck of Bicycle Cards for example, the design has some complicated lines all over the place, yet one deck sticks to the basic colours in any deck, a simple print, Fan backed Tally ho decks, cool design, simple colours, try to work along those lines for any design.

Also to the person who is incharge of this thread, it could maybe be helpful if a guidline for the designs were set up like what can be printed on to the cards as a back design, like for example the shading on it shouldn't be too detailed, like a guidline for the design or something

or a Lord Of The Rings style deck... now that would be far out

Hmmmm, how about, on the back have two crowns symmetrical and patterns on the outside, I am not a designer, but I can picture something of the like.

I like elegant decks like bees, aladdins and tally-hos but if some one can design something like the above I could see myself buying them.

For the first point, while we can't make that perfect of a gradient, we can make a gradient quite easily. Take a look at T11's guardians; it is clearly shaded. Do I think it's the right way to go? Maybe, if it is implemented the correct way.

As for setting up guidelines, The only guideline is that the design is Abstract/logo, as decided on in the Design Type Decision thread. This thread is a complete free-for-all monster mash of ideas. People are allowed to post any (appropriate) image they want. We want as much input and as many different thoughts as possible. The Back Design Interest Thread is more guided, since there has to be a good reason for the card back to be submitted (That doesn't mean it has to look nice; it could be a napkin sketch, but have a great, innovative idea).

I'd like something simple and stylish like Tally Ho Circle's, colour wise blacks/whites/greys and maybe a hint of red... kinda like this forum design, but as much as I like the exomagic logo I wouldn't want it on the cards, it could look suspicious to spectators.

I can't use editing software to save my life but I might think about this and try to sketch something up.

Hey guys,

I thought i would throw my hat in the ring here. I am a graphic designer by trade, so have some experience to add to the project here. That said, I'm not a flourisher or a card collector. In my card Magic i pretty much just use standard Bicycles. So i don't really get excited by all the decks that come out.

I did have some free time and threw together a few ideas. I have some more ideas for back designs as well as Jokers and Ace of Spades. If i have some time soon i will maybe throw together some more mock ups.

Also if the Exo crew needs design help with this or input i am happy to help when i have the time. Or even if anyone here has a good idea, but not the design experience to make a mock up maybe i can help there too.

I have three back designs for now. Here is the first one based on the Exo logo and site. I know people aren't super excited about a logo deck, but i started with it and kinda like it.
