Wow...Kaito, as always, you impress. Perhaps make the transparent one MORE complex if possible...but I'm LOVING your thinking!

Aye, that dark, center design needs to be the focus, but you can still add complexity to the back without taking away from the main design in the center. I can imagine handling these cards in front of specs now... They are killer.

Also, an idea to get the colors to the favorite color scheme so far - Leave the black, keep a white border, turn the background design to a gray and a blood red background. I'll preview it to see what your amazing idea would look like that way.

A simple invert to Kaito's design. All I did was click a button and found something cool that could be applied to the finished design if we choose. I think it brings out the background design more. It is beautiful. And mean.

It's looking like we're moving away from the 4 horseman themed back, and into an abstract design, which is fine, of course.

Here's something I just did, the merging/recolouring of Kaito's and Breen's designs. I don't really like the stripes in the background, I think it should be darker. Maybe just all gray, or something.



Annnnnnnnd after looking at mine and the other designs again, I had an "epiphany" of sorts and came up with this, which I think looks insanely better.

Remember, we have a white card stock. Therefore the back needs to be brighter.

I do indeed think that the design is going to be a more important choice than the card stock, and as such the card stock should depend on the design one way or the other. Besides, you will have a terribly hard time finding black card stock at all. It, for the most part, doesn't exist. E's black cards are printed on White card stock. The only real issue here is going to be the problem of hiding front-back cards, in which case we need to add a white border to the black back. Looking at the seemingly favorite color choice (Red, Black and Gray) we are going to have to be playing with one of our choices anyway to make that color work.

And above all things, we still haven't decided on a design yet. These are just the only ideas that people have bothered to actually put work into. If someone wants a different idea, then get to work on it and show us. The latest design had nothing to do with the previously thought of ideas, but is amazing. If anyone has an idea, whether on the 4 horseman, the tragic royalty colors, or anything completely different, show us. We are a long way from getting the idea set in stone.

I personally want to see some designs for the front. It would be cool, in my opinion, to have the normal 2 corner pips be normal suits, but the other corners taken by a well-designed latin suit pip.





Both Designs white bordered. Will work well with a white front.

Yeah, I had meant to make the borders white when I edited the two other designs together. Then completely forgot.

Does anyone have a picture of a card with the latin suits? I've tried looking for them, and all the examples of latin suits are cheesy little paint sprites. I'd like to see what the latin suits actually look like.

Best I could find. If we do this, we will need to apply better artwork to this.

Oh, wait, I just understood what you really meant. I thought you meant replace the smaller pips in the corners with latin suits. Okay, yeah, it makes a lot more sense now. That'd be pretty sweet for a reverse fan, have all the pips showing instead of just a blank fan.

Just go with the standard design.
We will NEVER do 52 indifferent and original card front designs which also look good.

Also I'd never buy a tatoo/tribal deck. People will think I'm gay or something.

Yep. That is the simplest way I could see integrating latin suits. Whether or not it is worth doing is a different story. It's not very hard, rather easy in fact, standard faces, colorized the way we like, just an addition of pips in the blank corners, suit for suit. It could be cool, it could be tacky. We just need to remember the goal. We have to be like David taking down Goliath. T11 and E have awesome cards, and if we expect to be able to offload 10,000 decks to the public, they have to be even more amazing.We have a minimum, we have to hit it, else a big investment will go down the tubes.

Gay? Hardly. The cards just depend on your style. These cards scream mean, could be great for one person, could defy the style of another. Hence we are asking for ideas.

Request - Does anyone care if we start a thread with NOTHING in it but pictures of cards people have come up with? Perhaps even just one long post, with the picture, the designers name and the notes to go with the card. There are loads more card ideas in these threads than I thought, and it would be cool to have them in one spot.
