Alright. Ok. I'm stuck. I realized today that I absolutely suck at drawing gargoyles. So I'm going to keep trying but at the same time I'm also leaving this idea up to someone with a good photo editing program. But I do have another idea. What about gargoyle door knockers? Search them on google there are some cool looking ones. This looks horrible. I know you don't have to tell me but it's just a rough idea.

![]() Take this idea. Make the circle in the middle look like a big iron ring. From there, to the four corners, chains, holding down perched beasts (gargoyles, or angels/demons if you like) connected to the center ring. Again, simplicity is key, so if someone tries to run with this idea, don't go overboard. Simple.

I know what this looks like and whatever you are thinking I did *edit* did not rip off smoke and mirrors. ok all kidding aside I love the way they look and figured I would give it a go to make a design of my own.

gargoyle perched.jpg Personally I think this gargoyle dog one is it for the corner gargoyle. It has everything. He is perched. Has a chain around his neck. He is really simple. And he is a gargoyle. winged-gargoyle-closeup.jpg This one on the castle is super simple too and I kind of like it for the reason he has kind of the same feeling to him that the angels in the corners of bikes have. Wow, lot's of ideas being tossed around. I have to say, I thought of mostly the same stuff as everyone else here. Crouching gargoyles for the corners, winged gargoyles for the center, and bricks along the side.
Haven't had a ton of free time to sit down and draw, but I've done a rough sketch or two. They'll be at somewhere passable by the weekend, hopefully.

After looking on the exo blog and seeing the rough draft for the Arcanes I don't think "passable" is even a worry. So that makes me feel a little better about the fact that I am a pretty good artist but can't draw a gargoyle worth a crap. |

thats kind of what alex is doing. I think he said he will pay $8,000 for 10,000 decks. That's way cheaper than that 3 decks for $60 crap that they advertise in the deck when you first open it.

I have been trying to doodle a few designs....not 100% on any yet. But I am working on them.
I am a horrible artist. We will definitely need someone who is good at graphic art/design to make a solid concept. Maybe Alex or Brandon know someone.

I am sure someone would be able to find a good graphic designer. With everyone on this forum being involved in college you think we could pull someone out of the woodworks for it.

I like the concept. It needs to be developed further, but it has potential.

thank you sir i was thinking about having the arms cross over each other maybe and this concept could have really deep rich colors in it.
I think this concept can get some really cool gaffs to go along with it also just for the fact that it has two hands on it Last edited by Sam Hindrichs; 11-24-2009 at 07:07 PM. |

Bit weird.
Just by looking at it, I get the impression of a "De Vinci" style deck. That would be interesting...but I am not to fond of the idea.

ok new idea i have no idea where to go with this but I just came up with this "EM" logo out of nowhere. Let me know what you think.
hands.bmp just thinking off the top of my head this could make a good gaff for a reveal. If the persons card disappears and "reappears" under the cards hands. Last edited by Sam Hindrichs; 11-25-2009 at 01:43 AM. |
